Wow.....you just brought up some issues I hadn't thought of. When we built our new home I ran speaker wires from the entertainment system to our deck outside. I terminated the wires in boxes and left them. I've been wanting to buy speakers for the deck but I just haven't gotten around to it yet. What I didn't think about was controlling the volume. Hmmm....maybe I'll end up with the same white elephant! I'll have to do some research and keep my lovely wife in the dark on that one!
