I used the same marine urethane on my front door and it is peeling after only two years. I spent a whole summer refinishing that door and now it needs to be redone. The door is at least 3 inches thick and 40 inches wide and impossible to move around and reinstall.

Fish emulsion is liquid gold. Great stuff and really not talked about much. Only draw back is that it can be rather smelly. I always use it in the evening just before I go inside.
